Governor Jan Brewer today named David Raber the new Director of the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR). Mr. Raber has been serving as the Acting Director since the passing of Director John Greene in October 2013.
“John’s untimely passing was a great loss to the Department, to the state and to all who had the good fortune of knowing him,” said Governor Brewer. “Thankfully, Mr. Raber’s expertise and leadership proved integral in making an unexpected transition seamless and effective. He has done tremendous work in Arizona state government for more than two decades, and I’m confident he will continue to do so as the new Director of ADOR.”
David Raber has served as the Chief Deputy Director for the Arizona Department of Revenue since 2011. In this role, he oversaw Arizona’s primary tax collection agency – including more than 800 employees – and provided strategic leadership and direction of eight department divisions, including: Audit, Collections, Taxpayer and External Services, Processing, Tax Policy, Property Tax, Information Technology and Administrative Services.
