Area homebuilders are cautiously optimistic about what’s to come in 2014.
According to the Southern Arizona Home Builder Sentiment Survey, a strong majority believe Tucson is in a recovery stage and that permits, closings and pricing will increase this year.
The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association developed the survey, designed in partnership with Real Estate Consulting Group, to get insights from production home builders — defined as building more than 20 homes per year — about the state of the market and their near-term predictions.
The survey drew about 20 respondents, or about a 62 percent response rate out of SAHBA’s builder members.
