With tourists returning to Scottsdale in record numbers and survey after survey revealing high satisfaction among local citizens, the future of Scottsdale appears to be as rosy as ever.
Standing before residents Feb. 12 to deliver his annual State of the City Address, Mayor Jim Lane proudly declared Scottsdale “a modern-day boomtown.”
The address was hosted by The Scottsdale Business Development Forum and held at the Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains. During his talk, the mayor painted a picture of success for the crowd of about 300 of the municipality’s movers and shakers.
“It’s nice to be loved,” Mayor Lane said.
