What is it about seeing a TV camera in their vicinity that turns people into monkeys jumping up and down to get their mugs on the tube? Such behavior is common when sports show sets have fans gathered in the background.

An extension of this situation is when fans go b eyond simply jumping up and down and cheering or booing.

Oklahoma State star Marcus Smart has been suspended for three games for shoving a Texas Tech fan in the final seconds of Saturday’s game. It isn’t clear what the monkey fan said to Smart, but reports are it might have been racial.

Prior to the Oklahoma State game, ASU student stupidity came to the fore yet again—not in a fraternity house, but at the basketball game between the Sun Devils and Oregon Ducks.

The incidents occurred as OU players were walking to the locker room at halftime and after the game. An ASU student spit on them.

It is said some monkeys spit because they imitate humans spitting at them though zoo cages.
