A new Chandler residential development has taken a step forward.
The city Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously supported a preliminary development plan for the Calabria subdivision during its regular meeting Feb. 5.
The development would be built near the southwestern corner of Brooks Farm and Cooper roads, which is about midway between Ocotillo and Chandler Heights roads.
The 30-acre subdivision would have a proposed 97 single-family homes.
It is surrounded by existing single-family subdivisions on the north and west and a recently approved single-family home to the south.
