An effort to revitalize the Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort & Suites has been all but denied by the Town of Paradise Valley.
Paradise Valley Town Council is expected to receive a formal amendment request to the on-file Special Use Permit sought by Scottsdale Cottonwoods officials.
That request, expected before a special Feb. 25 meeting, may include an overall 35 percent reduction in density at the site.
A legal protest — a formal written zoning protest signed by at least 20 percent of the surrounding neighbors — has been filed and will require a super-majority vote by the Paradise Valley Town Council to approve any changes to the already-in-place SUP at Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort & Suites.
