A recent Surprise City Council appointment and other changes on the council bring new faces and, possibly, a new political dynamic to the dais.
City leaders welcomed last year’s election winners Todd Tande and Roland Winters to the council and swore in Skip Hall to his new position as the District 6 representative on Jan. 7.
Jim Biundo was appointed Jan. 28 to serve as representative for District 2, three weeks after an earlier city council appointment ended.
Residents also will hear from 17-yearold Sarah Faukoury, the council’s first youth civic leader.
Some of the City Council’s new members have already indicated they may cast dissenting votes on issues more often than previous council members.
