Carefree leaders have formed an economic development committee to help advance an effort to create a vibrant, village-like atmosphere in its town center.
Council members Melissa Price, John Crane and Mike Farrar will serve on the committee that will include town-center landlords, business owners and citizens.
The committee intends to work with experts in economic vitality, traffic engineering, village planning and landscape architecture. It will examine ways to fill vacant properties, unify the look of businesses in the town center and create branding for the village concept. The meetings will be open to the public.
