Over a year of hard work has finally produced a hard result, with the draft of the Coolidge 2025 General Plan being released at the beginning of the month.
The general plan, which outlines the path a city intends to take into the future when it comes to many facets of administration, is required to be updated every 10 years. The plan details areas such as land use, transportation, open spaces and growth areas, so that if development should increase, the city has a consistent philosophy of how to accommodate the growth.
Rick Miller, the city’s growth management director who oversaw the plan in-house, presented the draft to the planning and zoning commission March 5. The draft is available for the public to view on the city’s website at coolidgeaz.com, with a link appearing on the right side of the home page.
