Mail-ballot-only elections for Fountain Hills mayor and Town Council will take place later this year but registered voters not affiliated with a party won’t automatically receive a ballot for the primary.
The primary election is scheduled for Aug. 26 and the general election will take place Nov. 4. Current terms expire at the end of this year for Mayor Linda Kavanagh and council members Ginny Dickey, Tait Elkie and Henry Leger.
Kavanagh said she will be seeking a second term, while Leger said he hasn’t “ruled anything out at this point.”
