Fountain Hills MMJ dispensary granted extended hours of operation

Fountain Hills’ only medical-marijuana dispensary can now open earlier and close later on weekdays, and serve clients on Saturdays.

At its March 20 meeting, the Town Council voted, 5-2, to allow Nature’s AZ Medicines to be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Mayor Linda Kavanagh and Councilman Cecil Yates voted no.

The dispensary has been limited to 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Mark Steinmetz, dispensary owner, requested an amendment allowing him to be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
