KB Home acquires Mesa parcel planned for 431 residents in $25 million deal

Mesa – KB Home Phoenix Inc. in Phoenix (Shawn Chlarson, division pres.) plans to develop a 431-lot planned community at the northwest corner of Higley and Brown roads in Mesa. In a deal expected to close after press time and by March 31, the builder is paying $25 million to purchase the 76.4-acre parcel in northeast Mesa. The seller is the Perricone Family Trust in Carlsbad, Calif. (Anthony Perricone, Joseph Perricone, et al., members). The deal is being brokered through Nate Nathan, Dave Mullard and Casey Christensen of Nathan & Associates Inc. in Scottsdale. KB Home is taking the property through the entitlement process for the Perricones, who have owned the land more than 100 years. Continue reading
