KB Home is starting to rev up in many of Belfiore Real Estate Consulting’s submarkets. In Tucson, KB Home was down to one active subdivision, Sycamore Vista, before opening Cantabria at Rancho Valencia (located near Swan Road and Valencia Road) in January of 2014. According to KB’s website, 5 more subdivisions are set to open this year. During Belfiore’s recent visit to Tucson, two of these subdivisions, Gladden Farms (located west of I-10 in Marana) as well as Rancho Sahuarita (located east of I-19 in Sahuarita) were in the process of building the model homes.
KB Home also purchased La Cima Esplendora, located on the Southwest corner of Houghton and Escalante Roads. According to public record, KB Home closed on these 57 platted and engineered lots on February 21, 2014 for $1,567,500 ($27,500 per lot / $491 per front foot). According to the plat, this subdivision will be a cluster project. During Belfiore’s recent survey, the site was under development.
