Paradise Valley could extend a temporary sales tax that is set to expire this year.
In preparation for next year’s fiscal budget, the town is starting to look at elements that could have a big effect on its financial future, and one of those is a 0.85 percent temporary sales-tax increase that will expire Aug. 1, Financial Director Scott McCarty said.
In fiscal 2013-14, the sales tax raised $3.2 million, according to budget-workshop numbers.
Another big issue that could play out with future finances are expenditure limitation levels.
