Scottsdale aims to be more aggressive in its efforts to lure specific industries and businesses to the city — and is counting on the goodwill of current businesses to help them fund that effort.
Scottsdale City Council approved a measure allowing the city to accept donations from private businesses, which would be used to promote economic development in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale City Council, through a 5 to 2 vote ratifying Resolution No. 9679, created a “special programs fund” to promote economic development in the city via special marketing and events.
