15 percent increase in building permits helps Yavapai County bring in nearly $2 million

Yavapai County department heads have submitted a wide variety of informative statistics to the Board of Supervisors during the annual budgeting process.

Some departments focused only on background information related to budget needs, so they may not be included. Statistics are for the current fiscal year ending June 30, unless otherwise noted.

• Development Services saw a 15 percent increase in building permits over the last fiscal year, including a 59 percent increase in single-family dwelling permits to approximately 320 homes. That’s more homes than any year since the recession began.
