Carefree proposes Town Hall additions

Carefree is poised to set aside $1.5M from its general fund in its proposed 2014-15 budget to build a Town Council meeting space (AZBEX,  Mar. 11, Mar. 26).

During a budget workshop this week, Town Administrator Gary Neiss said the town is shifting its budget priorities from improving town roads to economic development.

On May 6, Carefree Mayor David Schwan will ask the council for $3K from the town’s 2013-14 contingency fund to hire someone to do a conceptual plan for the proposed Town Hall addition.
