Former longtime Arizona lawmaker Stan Turley has died.
Family members say the 93-year-old Turley died Saturday of natural causes.
Turley served in the state Legislature from 1965 to 1987 and was a former speaker of the House and a state Senate president.
Gov. Jan Brewer calls Turley one of Arizona’s finest public servants who was a statesman in every sense of the word.
Turley’s family says he’s survived by seven children, 28 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
His funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at a Mormon chapel in Mesa.
