It is time.
After dedicating 25 years in service to the people of Kingman, Mayor Janet Watson will walk away from public life when her abbreviated term ends at the end of the year.
“I’ve been through seven elections,” said Watson, 65, and while she said she’s at “retirement age,” she’s leaving for deeply personal reasons.
“I’ve lost several dear friends recently,” she confided, “and I’ve come to the realization that I want and need to spend more time with my family and friends.”
