Noble defends APS’ dark money in solar campaign [VIDEO]

Sean Noble, the so called ‘dark money man’ who has distributed tens of millions of dollars in anonymous donations to conservative causes, is challenged over the use of dark money in an APS campaign he ran.

APS funneled money last year to two non-profit groups that attacked solar installers. APS, the state’s largest utility, wanted state regulators to raise the electricity bills of solar customers. The utility was not required to disclose its donations to the non-profits, but eventually was forced to.

Noble, a former chief of staff to Arizona Congressman John Shadegg, has formed American Encore in the wake of news reports and legal problems that have shed light on the conservative network that has used him to dole out cash while keeping donors’ names hidden.
