Refrigerator and cooking appliance-manufacturer buys land to expand in Goodyear

Catherine Reagor of The Arizona Republic reports Sub-Zero Inc. has purchased land in Goodyear for $2 million for an 11.5-acre parcel next to its 438,501-square-foot manufacturing and distribution operation.

The city offered the company incentives for job training to draw Sub-Zero, a Wisconsin-based company, to Goodyear in 2011.

The company has not yet disclosed details of its metro Phoenix expansion. The land sale closed last week. Sub-Zero currently has as many as 400 employees at its Goodyear site.
