The Scottsdale City Council will discuss a requested moratorium on all land purchases for the city’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve as requested by Scottsdale Vice Mayor Virginia Korte.
“I think it would give us some time to evaluate where we are in this,” Korte is quoted as saying in The Arizona Republic.
The city will lay out the costs to maintain and operate the preserve. They would be listed under the council’s fifth priority, which is to adopt financially sustainable budgets.
