Carefree seeks cultural amenity for condo project

Wanted: Town of Carefree seeks classy, cultural amenity to draw foot traffic, condo buyers, restaurants and boutique shops.

Valley developer Ed Lewis said now is the time to build his $90 million luxury condos over retail shops in the heart of Carefree. But he needs a commitment from the town to secure a cultural draw first.

Lewis presented his vision for the development to cheers from a packed council chambers. Most audience members were town merchants and retailers.
