Controversial housing plan gets OK in Fountain Hills

MCO Properties was given the go-ahead May 1 by the Fountain Hills Town Council to build a denser version of its 431-acre Adero Canyon project at the end of Eagle Ridge Drive.

The approval will allow 118 single-family homes and up to 343 dwelling units overall.

Approval came after a lengthy hearing during which numerous Fountain Hills and Scottsdale residents spoke out on the controversial project, which dates back 15 years and originally was the Eagle Ridge North subdivision.
