Expo magazine ranks Phoenix Convention Center No. 2 in the nation

Expo magazine ranked Phoenix as the No. 2 most popular destination to hold trade shows and events, right behind Las Vegas and right in front of Chicago.

The 2014 ranking was based on a survey of 126 managers. Phoenix ascended three spots from the 2004 survey.

“That may be in large part because of the expansion of the Phoenix Convention Center and the development of several new hotels in downtown Phoenix that has taken place over the last decade,” according to the magazine, which said Phoenix has become a more enticing destination over the last 10 years.
