Glendale to consider selling some city buildings

Glendale might sell city property to save or make money as leaders continue to cut expenses.

This comes after Glendale has “picked to the bone” its operating costs, City Manager Brenda Fischer said.

The City Council told staff members at their May 20 meeting to bring council members information on building occupancy, use and availability for selling or alternative uses such as leasing. City leaders haven’t named specific properties they would like to sell or how much money they want to raise by doing so.
