Glendale Council approves higher impact fees

As growth continues inside Glendale, city council approved May 13 the new community development impact fees that will begin July 31, and will be break the city up into three zones for fees.

“After a three-year process, this is the final act for consideration to adopt the new ordinance and sets new impact fees for the City of Glendale,” said Stuart Kent, executive director, public works. “The city council had three workshops, two evening meetings and reviewed fees that have been previously discussed.”

During the past three years of research and discussions, the public works department broke up the city into three different zones for collecting impact fees:
