The second of two major General Plan amendments proposed in Mesa this year got a rocky reception in its city council debut.
It was deja vu of sorts. The previous week, a proposal for land near Falcon Field met much the same reception. But the backer of that plan said he’s not giving up despite council concerns about residential encroachment near the airport.
The second proposal would permit Crismon Superstition Partners to build homes and a retail center on 38 acres at the northwestern corner of Crismon Road and U.S. 60.
