Cave Creek is implementing new development fees, which will fund future growth in the town.
The fees are one-time payments made by developers before they are issued a building permit, and are used for improvements to accommodate new development. The revenue stream will go to general government and parks and recreation facilities in town.
The fee for a single residential unit in Cave Creek will be $514, and a unit in a structure with two or more units, such as apartments and condominiums, will be $252.
Commercial and office properties will pay $300 and $500 per 1,000 square-feet of floor area, respectively.
