Tucson economic blueprint is roadmap for prosperity

It’s a time of adaptation. Seven years ago Tucson leaders laid out a road map for regional economic success. Steamrolled by the recession, the 2007 Economic Blueprint served as guideposts in business development. Pushing its way through the recession, Tucson’s economy struggled, dug in, and still accomplished many of the region’s goals. There is much work to accomplish, and Wednesday, Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities president and CEO Joseph Snell spread open the updated map to the future.

The old ways of building infrastructure, resolving areas of improvement, and the region’s ability to compete were all stymied by the Great Recession. The 2014 Economic Blueprint Update, entitled “We Win as One,” looks down the road for new directions to head, competitive challenges to overcome and emerging opportunities to seize.
