Wickenburg completes annexation

Wickenburg has annexed a portion of Yavapai County that could double the population of the 6,500-person town when it is built out

Wickenburg has annexed a portion of Yavapai County that could double the population of the 6,500-person town when it is built out over the next decade.

The annexation process was completed May 14.

“This is good for our town,” Mayor John Cook said. “The tax revenue and people coming up to see this new development will surely help the town.”
