Members of the Apache Junction City Council June 17 unanimously approved a budget totaling $42,065,600 for 2014-15. The vote took place during a special meeting held on the same night as the council’s regular work session. A state-mandated public hearing was part of the special meeting; there were no comments from the public, according to the recording of the meeting; it can be viewed on the city website.
Bryant Powell, the city’s assistant city manager, called the budget “prudent,” according to the recording.
