CORRECTION to Buckeye population explosion article

correctionFriday’s story about rapid growth in Buckeye, written by an ASU student from the Cronkite School of Journalism and posted on the KJZZ Web site, contained two errors:

A statement attributed to the Buckeye Chamber of Commerce saying “the Verrado developments is already working on becoming it’s own town” is untrue. Such a situation would require city council approval, according to Jennifer Rogers, marketing and communications director for the city of Buckeye.

A photo accompanying the story was captioned to say it showed an empty building.

The city purchased the office spaces shown and has been working to fill them with a new library and sub stations for police and fire, which are all set to be open in the next coming months.
