It appears the Scottsdale General Plan Task Force will continue its work a few more months while it is now expected to send a final draft of the guiding document update no later than November to the Scottsdale Planning Commission for review.
Through a unanimous head nod at its June 10 work session Scottsdale City Council approved a timeline option where Scottsdale residents will vote on the General Plan update at the November 2016 general election.
The Scottsdale General Plan, which is divided into seven chapters with 22 different land-use elements, is a statement of goals and policies that work as the primary tool for guiding the future development and character of the city over the next 10 to 20 years, city officials say.
