The Town of Queen Creek was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report. The award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and this marks the ninth time the Town has received this recognition.
“By making it easy for residents to find and read the Town’s financial documents, we are increasing transparency and letting taxpayers examine how their money is being spent,” said Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney. “Receiving this award further confirms the value of having that information easily accessible and readable.”
