Peoria officials said they wanted to hear from the public before moving forward on the possible acquisition of the New River Utility Company, which provides water to a portion of north Peoria.
If a recent public meeting on the subject is any indication, the residents in the area are in favor of the move.
Robert Czosnyka has lived in the Fletcher Heights community — which accounts for about 70 percent of New River’s customer base — for 15 years. He said his experience with New River over the years has been uneventful.
