Progress sometimes comes slowly, but the city of Maricopa is ready to make a foray into business park development. The Boyer Company, Salt Lake City, has entered into an agreement with the city to develop a 52 acre business center on the former site of the Estrella Gin (AZBEX, Aug. 17, 2012).
Boyer was the only proposer more than 18 months ago when the city floated its request for qualifications. The approved agreement between developer and city comes with a requirement that Boyer submit a concept plan within thirty days. SmithGroupJJR is handling the land planning assignment.
Matt Jensen with Boyer says that late in June the company will present the concept plan and design concepts to the city for the first round of approvals.
