Amerson steps down after 22 years on Eloy City Council

Though she says she will miss being an Eloy City Council member, Etta Ruth Amerson, who has served on the Council since 1992, will probably still attend Council meetings to keep up with what’s happening with the city.

Amerson’s term on the Eloy City Council is up this year and she has decided not to run for re-election.

The no-nonsense Eloy matriarch has not only been elected to City Council for 22 years, she also worked in the Eloy Justice Court for 26 years.
