The Casa Grande Board of Adjustment on Tuesday delayed giving final approval to a landmark logo at the entrance of the planned PhoenixMart development.
The board cited concerns about the wording of the proposal and the height of the logo for the delay and tabled a decision until it meets again at 6 p.m. next Tuesday in the council chambers at City Hall. That meeting is open to the public.
“I think there’s a lot of confusion with the board about what’s being presented and what’s actually being proposed to us and obviously the height of the logo above the road,” said board member Chuck Wright as he addressed Brad Holyoak of AZ Sourcing LLC, PhoenixMart’s parent company. “I think there are a lot of questions about how many signs are in the package. There may be some juggling of the documents and it’s not clear what we are approving here tonight.”
