Two years ago, Thunderbird Plaza was dying a slow death. The once-bustling shopping center at 99th Avenue and Thunderbird Boulevard had been one of Sun

City’s retail showcases. But over the years as business gradually fell off and major tenants left, the future looked increasingly uncertain.

Now, the major surgery that was performed by a group of physicians on the complex has resuscitated the venue enough for a follow-up operation intended to inject further life into the site.
