[EDITORIAL] Hallman has perfect temperament, experience to be Arizona treasurer

Of the three Republicans running, The Arizona Republic finds attorney and former Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman to be the best choice for treasurer. The other two candidates are former state GOP Chairman Randy Pullen and businessman Jeff DeWit.

Hallman demonstrated competence as Tempe’s mayor from 2004 to 2012, helping guide the city through the recession, cutting the budget and improving its financial standing in the process. A lawyer, Hallman also has undergraduate degrees in economics and political science.
