While neighboring cities and towns have approved medical marijuana dispensaries, the Florence Town Council has yet to see one a majority of its members can support.
Only two of the seven council members have ever voted for a dispensary to be allowed. Most of them seem to agree with Pinal County Attorney Lando Voyles, who said, “A vote against a dispensary represents a vote in favor of the future of any town” after the most recent Florence dispensary permit was denied.
But that hasn’t stopped at least one applicant who seems determined to do business here.
