Gilbert snags 6th hotel, says more to come

A five-story Hampton Inn & Suites opening near U.S. 60 next year will become Gilbert’s sixth hotel. The town’s Design Review Board recently approved a site plan for the 101-room hotel that is part of the Hilton family of hotels.

The hotel will go up at the southeastern corner of Higley Road and Inverness Avenue. This will be the second Hampton Inn for Gilbert. The first is near SanTan Village mall.

The new hotel is expected to serve patients coming to Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, which is across the road.
