Judges slap former Maricopa JP with ethical violations

The disciplinary body for Arizona judges Thursday announced formal charges against Scott Sulley, longtime justice of the peace in the Maricopa-Stanfield Justice Court.

While court officials have kept mum for months on the extent of the allegations against Sulley, the 85-page complaint from the Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct describes in detail multiple ethical, financial and management problems in the Maricopa courtroom during his decade-long tenure.
