A decade after acquiring the land, the Sonoran Creek Marketplace, a 25-acre development west of John Wayne Parkway between Edison Road and Hathaway Avenue, is seeing the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
The delay has been the result of numerous setbacks stemming from the land’s location in a floodplain.
A second attempt to raise the property out of the floodplain has been completed said Andres Sidenberg, the director of client relations for VWP Realty, a brokerage firm involved in the project.
