Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Reality and The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses and Horsepower present the Monday Night Polo Preview Party on September 8, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia.
Meet America’s top ranked polo star, Julio Arellano as well as The Polo Party’s reigning champion, Wales Captain Ricky Cooper, while enjoying no-host light fare and cocktails at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia.
The evening is a preview of the Fourth Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships, which returns with even more horsepower and entertainment for two days, on Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
At the Polo Preview Party, fans can meet and take pictures with the #1 polo player in the country, Julio Arellano, who will be captaining the Barrett-Jackson All-Star team. Arellano currently has a 9-goal handicap, a mark that has not been attained by any other American polo player to date. Arellano has won the Sotogrande Gold Cup, The Triple Crown in 2009, The US Open four times, and the Monty Waterbury three times.
Alongside Arellano for this incredible Polo Party will be Ricky Cooper, captain of the Bentley Scottsdale Clogau Wales Polo Team. Since his inception as the Wales team captain in 2008, Cooper has participated in more than 15 international matches for his country. Cooper is responsible for creating both the Wales Polo Association and the Wales Polo Team, and helped to lead the young team to the final of the British Beach Polo Championships in 2012.
