Using cloud seeding to increase snow pack in Wyoming and compensating farmers to fallow land are among several ideas being considered by state water managers who hope to prevent Lake Mead from hitting critically low elevation levels.
The Pinal area Groundwater Users Advisory Council heard an update Thursday from Arizona Department of Water Resources Colorado River staffer Deanna Ikeya, who told the group that water managers are hammering out a drought response plan to maintain the Lake Mead level.
