Construction by the city of Phoenix of an above-ground water line on the southern portion of Mummy Mountain has one resident expressing concerns over the pipeline’s impact — both environmental and aesthetic.

Phoenix is constructing the water line in an effort to deter threatened litigation over water service. Local officials say only a handful of Paradise Valley residents and homes in this area are served by Phoenix.
