Thousands of calls in support of The Standard list a small business coalition and an NAU parents group with no local history.

After admitting that he was “probably guilty of letting this go too far,” Landmark Properties Senior Vice President Andrew Young withdrew the company’s zoning application for The Standard Wednesday.

However, Landmark Properties could resubmit the application at a later date, although Young said later he had no comment on that option.
