The aggressive campaigning among four Republicans running for the Arizona Corporation Commission irked the sitting Chairman this week when a dark money group sent a mass e-mail using his name.
Commission Chairman Bob Stump recently penned an opinion piece endorsing Tom Forese and Doug Little for the commission.
Those two are running as a team in a primary race against fellow Republicans Vernon Parker and Lucy Mason. The winning pair will face two Democrats in a race for two open seats on the five-member commission that regulates utilities.
But Stump was dismayed when his opinion piece was e-mailed to an unknown list of recipients. The e-mail address used to send the message was “info@BobStumpOpEd.com.”
